Unite Caribbean

The History

The first event, under the name of BWIA West Indies Pow Wow, was held in 2002 at Beaulieu National Motor Museum in Hampshire and was attended by 40 delegates. 2003 remained at Beaulieu and attracted 60 delegates.

After out-growing the conference facilities at Beaulieu and having received many requests to bring the event to central London, 2003 was held at The Barbican Centre, London and hosted over 100 delegates…..with no 'no-shows'!

The Mermaid Conference & Events Centre in central London has been the venue since 2005 and was attended by 164 delegates in 2005 and 197 delegates in 2006.

After BWIA ceased operations in December 2006, co-founder and organiser, Debbie Flannagan decided to carry on with this important annual event under the new name of 'Unite Caribbean'. 2007 attracted a record 203 delegates.

The Purpose

'Unite Caribbean' (Pow Wow) is an informal workshop-style event which provides a perfect opportunity for tour operators/specialist agents to hold pre-booked one-to-one meetings with hoteliers, representation companies, tourist offices, airlines, ground handlers & car hire companies within the Caribbean region in one place, on one day.

Whether planning on increasing programmes; wanting to discuss any marketing &/or promotional activities for the forthcoming year; perhaps continue any discussions/ideas from WTM or even ITB; or for planning a new operation to the region - this is the annual event to attend!

The Date Monday 10th March 2008.
As in previous years, the date is chosen to tie in with ITB. This allows hoteliers and other suppliers who were over for ITB in Berlin to attend, before returning to their respective country.
The Venue The Mermaid Conference & Events Centre, Puddle Dock, Blackfriars, London. EC4V 3DB.
The venue is easily accessible by car, underground, train and bus.
