Supported charities

Debbie and Bertie have been volunteering for Pets As Therapy since 2018.

Weekly visits are made, on an alternating basis to a local nursing home where the residents stroke, cuddle and, sometimes, sneakily feed Bertie biscuits and to a Primary School for the Read2Dogs scheme.

Ad-hoc visits are also made to the University of Surrey to help students de-stress before exams, to a Police Station and also to various fayres and fetes where the amazing work of Pets As Therapy is promoted.

If you would like to find out more information on Pets As Therapy, would like to donate or would like to get involved with your pet (it’s not restricted to dogs!), please see: www.petsastherapy.org.

We are delighted to be supporting this amazing charity whose mission and purpose is to bring joy, happiness, smiles and magic to some of the most deserving children in the UK today. The children to whom they deliver their dreams live in poverty and have a serious illness, disability or life-limiting condition.

On average 1 in every 3 children live in poverty in our country; and in some places this rises to 1 in every 2.  It’s hard to believe but it’s true.  And these figures become yet worse when you learn that children with a disability are 11% more likely to fall into poverty than non-disabled children.

This is the only wish granting charity to solely support children living in social deprivation.

Dreams Come True was founded in 1988 and, thanks to their UK-wide dream making programme of individual and community dreams they improve and change the lives of very deserving children.
